Technical assistance for selecting the proper hydraulic fluid
Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluid 59D is a synthetic hydraulic fluid designed for applications that require a hydraulic fluid with greater fire resistance than that offered by conventional mineral oils. It has much higher flash and fire points than conventional mineral oils and some synthetic materials. It’s actual flash point is greater than 500 F and constitutes a major reduction and/or elimination of the possibility of a fire being ignited due to the sudden or inadvertent release of this product in the vicinity of an ignition source. This product is especially designed for heavy-duty industrial applications operating at high pressures and over wide temperature ranges. It has outstanding thermal properties as well as superior anti-wear and rust & oxidation resistance. Other advantages of its synthetic formulation are its naturally high viscosity index, low volatility, shear stability and biodegradability.
Hy-Lo 23 Hydraulic Oil is a premium quality, anti-wear hydraulic oil, specially formulated for low temperature operations. It was developed to meet the needs of equipment operators (construction equipment, garbage trucks, coal dumpers, dock levelers, utility companies) who must operate through the temperature extremes of severe winter weather. Its high viscosity index and very low pour point assure trouble free operation.
Hydraulic Oil - AL are premium quality, anti-wear, anti-leak, antifoam, and rust and oxidation inhibited hydraulic oils, which meet the requirements of all major hydraulic pump manufacturers. They were developed for use in modern high pressure, high speed hydraulic systems to insure maximum pump wear protection, and to prolong the systems life. These oils have many applications, other than in hydraulic systems, including those calling for non-detergent type oils. They are especially suited for bearing lubrication, circulating systems, non EP type gear applications, sprockets, chains, slides, linkages, couplings, spindles, electric motors, and all once through applications. They are available in SAE 10W, 20W-20 and 30 viscosity grades.
PSR Oils A are premium quality solvent refined oils with an inherently high viscosity index, specially treated with very effective anti-wear additives plus rust and oxidation inhibitors. They were developed for use in modern high pressure, high-speed hydraulic systems to insure maximum pump wear protection, and longer life to other components of the hydraulic system. These oils have many applications, including bearing lubrication by continuous use method, such as circulating systems, reservoirs or bath oilers, or by any type of once-through appliance. They can also be used for electric motors, spindles, hydraulic systems and circulating systems, where an exceptionally stable oil is desirable. PSR Oils can also be used in gearboxes not requiring an EP type lubricant and in general plant lubrication. They are available in a very many viscosity grades
Nova (ISO) A Oils are premium quality anti-wear, anti-foam, rust and oxidation inhibited hydraulic oils, which meet the requirements of all major hydraulic equipment manufacturers. They were developed for use in modern high pressure, high speed hydraulic systems to insure maximum pump wear protection, and to prolong the systems life. They pass the difficult and demanding tests set by Vickers, Dennison, and Cincinnati Milacron and offer performance significantly beyond that required to merely pass. They are made from the finest premium quality solvent refined paraffinic base stocks to give optimum oxidation stability and performance over wide operating temperature ranges. They are especially suited for high speed and heavily loaded systems where high shear resistance and high temperature stability are essential. These oils have many applications, other than in hydraulic systems, including those calling for non- detergent type oils. They are especially suited for bearing lubrication, circulating systems, non EP type gear applications, sprockets, chains, slides, linkages, couplings, spindles, electric motors, and all once through applications. They offer significantly greater load carrying ability and anti-wear properties over conventional R & O oils, which are recommended for many of the above applications. They are available in all ISO viscosity grades from 5 to 1500.
WG 200 Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluid is a specially formulated water-glycol fluid that meets both high-pressure pump requirements and the most severe fire resistant qualifications. It passes Factory Mutual “less hazardous hydraulic fluid” tests and is rated as “permissible fire resistant hydraulic fluid” by the U.S. Bureau of Mines. WG 200 is formulated to meet manufacturer’s pump tests and contains both liquid and vapor phase corrosion inhibitors to provide complete corrosion protection for hydraulic systems.
WBHF 8810 is a product designed to be used as a water based hydraulic fluid. It contains a combination of anti-wear and other additives that prevent pump wear, corrosion and oxidation. It passes Factory Mutual “less hazardous hydraulic fluid” tests. It should be used at 5%-10% in water for hydraulic systems.
