Endura Gear Lubes Non Drip are multi-viscosity polymer gear lubricants, designed to give total performance over wide temperature ranges for essentially all gear applications. They are formulated to give outstanding performance in the most severe industrial, automotive and heavy-duty trucking applications. The industrial applications cover all enclosed gearboxes including worm gears. The automotive and heavy-duty trucking applications include high performance hypoid gears and limited slip differentials. Incorporation of polymers gives them true multi-viscosity performance to cover for wide temperature fluctuations due to daily and seasonal changes. They also contain special polymers to improve on the oil’s natural ability to adhere to the gear and bearing surfaces under the most severe conditions and to reduce leakage. All of these factors add up to reduced maintenance, decreased downtime and improved performance. Endura Gear Lubes are available in all SAE gear lubricant grades.
Endura Moly Gear Lubes Non Drip are multi viscosity - multi purpose polymer gear lubricants fortified with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and designed to give total performance over wide temperature ranges for essentially all gear applications. They are formulated to give outstanding performance in the most severe industrial, automotive and heavy-duty trucking applications. The industrial applications cover all enclosed gearbox applications including worm gears. Incorporation of polymers gives them true multi-viscosity performance to cover for wide temperature fluctuations due to daily and seasonal changes. The MoS2 is incorporated through a special process to produce an extremely stable suspension of the "moly" lubricating solids. The "moly" lubricating solids are of a sub-micron size that assures a stable suspension and eliminates concerns over removal by settling or filtration. They also contain special polymers to improve on the oils natural ability to adhere to the gear and bearing surfaces under the most severe conditions and to reduce leakage. All of these factors add up to reduced maintenance, decreased down time and outstanding performance. They are available in all SAE and AGMA gear lubricant grades.
Industrial Gear Lubes EP are heavy duty, premium grade, industrial gear lubes designed to withstand the toughest industrial requirements. They are made with very highly refined, high VI, base stocks compounded with the latest in additive technology. They cover a very wide range of viscosities from ISO 46 to ISO 1500grades and the full range of AGMA – EP grades. Their performance exceeds the AGMA EP requirements and those of US Steel 224.
Gear Lube 2600 ND is a very heavy-duty, non-asphaltic, special resin based, EP open gear lube. It is a very viscous formulation that is not thinned down with solvents that can be hazardous and environmentally negative. It deposits a tenacious flexible-fluid film on open gears that resists runoff, wash off, corrosion, displacement, and throw off, even at high speeds. The non-asphaltic base makes it much safer than the typical open gear lubes based on asphalts and tars. The special base also does not dry out and "crack" like many of the tar and asphalt based products. It is very water resistant, has EP performance, and is self-healing if scratched or cut while using. It is designed for temperatures up to approximately 240ºF.
Open Gear Lube II (Aerosol) is based on our Gear Lube 2600 ND which is further fortified with molybdenum disulfide and thinned with a solvent to make it sprayable. The aerosol form gives it the advantage of being able to spray on areas which might otherwise be difficult to coat. When the solvent evaporates, it leaves the same tenacious type of self-healing film as the Open Gear Lube 2600 ND and has the same non-drying, water resistant and corrosion protection properties. This product is flammable before the propellant and thinning solvents are evaporated, yet has a very high flash point (> 600ºF) when the solvents are evaporated. It is especially useful for hard to reach points and saves a lot of time, work, and money, by not requiring removal of guards or shutting down the equipment to recoat the gears.
Open Gear Lube - Extra Duty is a very heavy-duty product suitable for very high loads and high temperatures. It's based on heavy duty synthetic stocks, combined with a combination of anti-wear, adhesion promoting, corrosion protective and EP agents. It is designed for use on open gears and sliding surfaces of equipment used for construction, crushing, dredging, mining, mixing, drying kilns, and other heavy duty and/or high temperature applications. It is very adhesive, completely water resistant, non-melting, and has excellent corrosion protection. It has a high flash point (>480ºF), contains no solvents and is designed for outdoor use in direct sunlight. It is a non-melting formulation useful at higher temperatures than most other open gear lubes.
Metallic Open Gear Cote is a high load carrying, bronze colored, metal containing open gear grease. The bronze color enables you to easily determine, at a glance, if the gear is coated properly. It contains a combination of several types of solid lubricants and friction reducing additives as well as rust and corrosion inhibitors. It works well on moderate to high-speed gears on presses. It is also suitable for high temperature operations and has excellent water resistance. The metallic and other solid lubricants also aid in filling in imperfections and galled or damaged areas of older gear surfaces, allowing them to run more smoothly and last longer.
HT Metallic Open Gear Cote is a black colored, open gear grease, containing high levels of graphite to enhance its high temperature properties and its load carrying ability. It is very water resistant. Its very high flash point (>550ºF) and non-melting properties make it the lube of choice for many systems where higher temperatures rule out other products. It also can be used as an anti-seize product and on sliding surface applications.
Red Multi Purpose Gear Lubes Non Drip are made with highly refined, high viscosity index oils, for enclosed gears combining all modern chemical and lubrication know how. These products contain a multifunctional dual polymer system to improve adhesive and cohesive properties of the lubricant that results in unexcelled wear reduction and shock load protection. The non-drip function affords total lubrication by keeping gear teeth coated with oil through the entire cycle, including the top of the gear housing, which substantially reduces friction and heat. Because the gears are enclosed and out of sight they generally get attention only when a problem occurs. Over heating and seizing are the common indicators of stress, strain, pressure or metal fatigue. The use of Red Multi Purpose Gear Lube Non Drip can result in reduced lubricant usage, longer gear life, less down time, increased production, greater efficiency and reduced costs. These gear lubricants are available in all SAE gear lubricant grades.
MT Gear Lube is a traction motor gear lubricant designed for traction motor gearboxes on railroad diesel engines of all types. It was specially designed to lubricate the higher horsepower output per axle, traction motor drive units, developed by GE and EMD. This formulation is a non-leaded product to avoid the environmental problems associated with handling and disposal of leaded products. Even though it was developed for "newer" traction motor units, it is applicable to all older units that called for the products that contained leaded EP additives. This unique product is specially packaged in one-pound polyethylene bags for ease of application. These bags are placed directly into the traction motor gear case, bag and all, and the bag gets ground, dispersed, and integrated into the gear lubricant. It incorporates a unique combination of lithium soap thickeners and very high viscosity oils and additives. This combination provides long life protection to the gears and resists leakage from the gear case. Some companies have also used MT Gear Lube for very large open gears, throwing the bag directly into the meshing gears where it gets crushed and applied with no mess to the operator.
